John Stewart (BSc Hons Ost.) Director of Future Proof Care and Osteopath within the Practice. John graduated with an honours degree in Osteopathy from the European School of Osteopathy (ESO) in Kent.
After a 60MPH motorbike accident causing John to slide 100 yards from his bike on impact, he developed neck and back issues. He later received treatment from an Osteopath which inspired him to explore a career in manual therapies. He completed several massage courses whilst working for BT and upon developing a flare for injury recovery, he took redundancy from BT in 1995 and studied Osteopathy.
John worked in multiple practices giving him a varied background, allowing him to set up his own practice treating patients of all ages from babies to the elderly. He also teaches at ESO to help other potential Osteopaths develop their knowledge and skills for this rewarding vocation.
John specialises in Osteopathic techniques such as Balanced Ligamentous Tension techniques, Manipulative Therapy and Dry Needling, adapting each technique to the patient’s presentations.
